Mental Health Awareness & Education

​Educational opportunities addressing mental health to proactively equip warriors with tools to manage their mental well-being since mental health can negatively affect physical health.

Our 1st Mental Health Program is scheduled for November 2024 where we will dive into the impact of mental health on individuals with sickle cell, offering insights into effective coping strategies, in addition to education sessions on mindfulness, reducing stress, and enhancing overall well-being.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be accepted into an approved program or currently enrolled in a college, university, or vocational school/training program.

    • Examples of vocational programs: medical assistance, pharmacy technician, massage therapy, cosmetology, plumbing, electricians, culinary arts.

  • Must be an individual diagnosed with sickle cell disease living in the USA
